About the Project

Ancient Egypt served as the inspiration for designer Roberto Verino’s Spring/Summer 2019 runway collection, presented as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, in collaboration with fashion designer Utku Dagistan. Motifs from an Egyptian frieze became the main print of the Marhaba collection, which also featured jewel-like embroidery crafted by Johan Luc Katt. The runway was adorned with vintage fabric backdrops.
